A precious item (goblet, crown, large gemstone, or similar), when lifted from its resting place, triggers a hyper-local shift in cardinal directions.
There are no immediate signs that the trap has been triggered. But if there are two exits in the current room, then exiting through door #1 deposits you in room #2 and leaving through door #2 deposits you in room #1, and so on, for each exit in the room. The shift in exits is only valid when exiting from this room (the rest of your map remains the same).
